For your convenience, We offer merlin III blocks fully race-prepped from the World Products factory and ready for assembly!. Race prepped blocks offer plate-honed cylinders to the bore size, thoroughly washed block, installed cam bearings and freeze plugs. All machined surfaces are protected with oil to prevent any corrosion. 

World Products Motown SB-Chevy Race Blocks

For competition applications where superchargers, turbos, nitrous or ultra high compression results in extreme combustion pressures, World Products offers the Motown 'Race Block'. The most significant difference between the race block and its standard sibling is the use of 'splayed' steel billet 4-bolt main caps that distribute load over a larger area. Other features of the Motown race block include reinforced main webs and bulkheads, as well as substantial deck and walls. Motown Race Blocks are available with basic machining, or fully race-prepped with plate honing, etc.
